Many of our clients have come to us because chemotherapy has caused them significant hair loss. They feel as if all of life is now somehow outside of their control. We help by giving them a full head of natural hair all over again. And we give them something else as well: heartfelt understanding that you do have control over how you live and how you look. We are especially proud of the fact that many of our clients have told us that their custom medical wigs or hair prosthesis have made a big difference. Not only in how they look, but in how they feel.
A word about chemotherapy
It’s important to understand that chemotherapy can affect different people in different ways. Some may experience a slight thinning of their hair, while others can lose a lot- if not all – of their hair.
We want you to take heart for a number of reasons. First, understand that in many cases, chemotherapy hair loss is not permanent. For most people, your hair will usually start to grow back after your chemo treatments end. But in the meantime, when you need it the most, please note that we are here and ready to help
When to schedule your first consultation?
If you’re expecting chemotherapy, it’s best to visit us prior to your first medical treatment. That way, our consultants can see you before you experience any hair loss, so that we can work to make a perfect match between your full head of hair and your new custom medical wigs or hair prosthesis. Also, we make every effort to expedite orders for clients with medical issues. It’s our hope to help you avoid any interruption in your normal lifestyle, and to eliminate any embarrassment due to hair loss.
Please bear this in mind as well: If you are unable to visit our New York studio, hospital and home consultations can be arranged. We can even travel out of state or out of the country by special arrangement.
